It's not every day that Maria Bonita, a Brazilian outlaw with status of a 'folk heroine', is mentioned in a fashion press release - let alone in the same paragraph as the French Marie Antoinette. But then, it isn’t every day that you receive a press release that comes with Brazilian sweets and collagen jellybeans – I even didn’t know that such a treat existed.
Welcome to Mariana Jungmann’s SS17 presentation at the Vinyl Factory collection. Brazilian-born with a degree at London College of Fashion, Jungmann has adopted Renaissance lace making as her trademark.
As per the collagen jellybeans... I am still to find out if they were of any help to make me look younger. Ate them all, just in case. Who knows, maybe next season I will look 20 something.
